Kevin Grangier Founder & Owner
A Louisville-area native, Kevin Grangier began his career locally in the marketing and communication world before relocating to Los Angeles to start his brand development firm Carry On Communication, Inc. Over the course of 12 year’s operating the award-winning firm that grew to have offices in five core markets, Kevin and his team built a family of communication companies to encompass a network of branding, public relations and marketing entities and services that scaled the largest and most significant markets across the U.S. Together, these businesses provided a fully integrated approach that addressed the many challenges a company encounters in the brand development process.
Originally from Louisville, Ky., Grangier’s past civic, social, and professional leadership and board activities include leadership roles with the Public Relations Society of America, the Association for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations, The Virgin Group, and Virgin Radio, The National Kidney Foundation, and many others. He has also served in brand advisory roles on dozens of non-profit arts and public-health organizations.
Jonathan Pauly Executive Chef
Jonathan Pauly comes to BNEG with a combined 18 years of culinary experience and kitchen management as the Executive Chef at The Village Anchor. Jonathan’s culinary expertise comes from finer and creative dining concepts, most recently coming from an executive chef position with Equus/Jack’s Lounge and Lou Lou Food & Drink, where Jonathan was tasked with revitalizing late Chef Dean Corbett’s legendary restaurant and lounge while simultaneously rebranding and enhancing the culinary division of Lou Lou Food & Drink (formerly Cafe Lou Lou).
A California native, Jonathan’s formal training at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York, New York has led him to a successful career in the competitive Louisville, KY food and dining scene. Working at some of Louisville’s most prominent and loved restaurants Jonathan has acquired the tools necessary for his most recent challenge as Executive Chef at the prominent Village Anchor.
Grant McCrocklin General Manager
In his current role as general manager at The Village Anchor, Grant McCrocklin showcases his ability to ensure each guest has an exceptional experience and walks away a committed fan. His unwavering commitment to training keeps the staff focused on the company mantra EVERY GUEST-EVERY TIME driving every staff member including management, kitchen, bar, server and host staffs to create a positive guest experience.
Kentucky-born and bred, McCrocklin brought with him six years of food industry management when he joined The Village Anchor as Assistant General Manager in 2011. His background includes serving on the management team of Panera Bread, and as General Manager at the fun and popular Tilted Kilt that was here in Louisville. Additionally, his solid work ethic and discipline can be tied to six years’ prior experience serving as a senior airman in the US Air National Guard.
His lengthy tenure with The Village Anchor creates a comfortable and consistent environment. And Grant’s neighborly charisma and charm endear him to our guests and keep them coming back.
